In April we went to stay with Lindsay's parents for a week in Tennessee at the family cabin near the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area.

Building My Garden

Here is the plan for my first garden.  In November 2009, my mom and I picked out the sunny-est spot (not very sunny as you can see) in the back yard and layed out some pieces of metal Matthew brought home from work.  Next, I covered the ground with some black roofing material to kill the grass and make digging the ground easier.  I then left it alone and forgot about it until my mom came for her next visit in February.

I put Mom to work on her visit in February 2010.  We dug up the ground (well, mostly my mom dug) and pulled up the dead grass and roots. 

We also buried the metal pieces around the outside and Matthew screwed together all of the pieces.

Here are some pictures from the second edition of Dancing with Savannah Stars.  There's a picture of us dancing at a fund-raising party while the rest are from the show.  We took home the third place trophy.
