Curtains and Labor Day

With my limited mobility I have not been able to do too much work around the house so I have been focusing on the finishing touches for the rooms I have already painted.  I made curtains for the guest bath and painted/caulked the windows in the guest and master bedrooms.  I have also been painting trim and working on valences for the master bedroom windows.  All of these little, tedious tasks just make the place seem so fresh and clean!

The new guest bath curtains.

The guest bedroom window, freshly cleaned, painted, and caulked along with new (purchased) curtains.

I also had a chance to finally finish all of the coasters that Richard made for me.  Now we just need a lot of guests!

Last week I also picked up a new rabbit for our little farm.  She is only 12 weeks old but is already as big as our other does!  She is a New Zealand rabbit and should mature at over 10 pounds.  We will start breeding her early next year.

We celebrated Labor Day on Saturday with some friends at their family property in South Carolina.  I spent most of the day sitting in a chair and chatting but Matthew played volleyball, corn hole, and horse shoes for hours.  He was very sore the next day!

A short clip of one of the games.

A wonderful band also came and played for us.
