I haven't posted in a while so here's an update on what we've been up to at the Lazy G. My garden is winding down for the summer but we are still getting some fresh veggies including tomatoes, okra, green peppers, and eggplant.
Two weekends ago I joined an organization called Clean Coast on one of their island litter clean ups. We went to Wassaw Island and hiked the beach picking up trash. It was a little rainy on the way out but that just helped keep us cool!

The next day I joined the cast of The Do Over, an Adam Sandler movie, as an extra. It was a fun but long day.
Last weekend we were finally able to do a little more work on the horse trailer. First, we replaced the light with an LED fixture that will not bonk us in the head when we climb into the goose!
It is very bright and energy efficient enough to run on solar power if we ever convert the trailer.
After that we set to work on the floor. We removed the carpet a couple of weeks ago, which was surprisingly easy.
We bought a stick-together vinyl floor (floating floor) for the dressing room that has a tile look. We didn't quite believe the box that said "The Easiest Floor Ever!" when we bought it, but it turned out to be pretty easy. The only hard part was cutting several pieces to fit along the diagonal wall.

The finished floor. We did not fill in all along the back wall because the cabinets will sit over that spot.
Here's a shot of the wall cabinets that we re-mounted after fixing the wiring a few weeks ago. Next up: more cabinets, finish wiring, and install back drop and countertop.
And finally, I have almost used up my old laundry detergent so I decided to try making my own. It was easy to do but the real test will be whether or not it cleans our laundry.
